Alico Systems is an innovative product development company. Active Electronically Scanned Antenna Array (AESA)

X-band Distributed Broadband SATCOM On-The-Move Terminal

Alico has been developing innovative solutions for our customers for over a decade. In our most recent project, Alico personnel invented the world's first distributed all electronic phased array Satellite Communications On the Move (SOTM) Terminal which solves critical operational and personnel safety issues for our customers. This terminal operates in X-band supporting the XTAR and WGS satellites. Alico developed the product from concept to a tested prototype in 18 months. This terminal referred as SAXBA Distributed Broadband has been cited by our customer as the advanced technology solution by the US Army DESSTA initiative.

 

Embedded Systems Design

Alico Systems has designed advanced digital and RF electronics for the past decade. We specialize in ARM processor and Xilinx FPGA based digital product designs. We used advanced Computer Aided Design tools and simulation software to design our products. Our RF designs span from MHz to 10s of GHz including designs of filters, frequency converters, synthesizers, passive and active array smart antennas.

 

Custom Designed Linux Board Support Package & Applications

We have excellent expertise in software and firmware development including C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, and HTML. Alico specializes in the development of open source real-time Linux based systems. We develop Linux board support packages for client's hardware as well as for Alico's own products. Alico has the expertise and experience in developing custom Linux drivers. Our applications expertise include sensor processing, On the Move Tracking system for antenna pointing and web based GUI. Alico Systems is a Yocto Project Participant, the open source collaboration project that provides templates, tools and methods to create custom Linux based systems for embedded products.

 

VoIP Products & Solutions

Alico has been developing with VoIP solutions for the past five years. Our technology solution provided VoIP telephony solution for narrow band SATCOM applications. Utilizing the MELP vocoder we were able to provide toll quality voice calls over a Geo satellite using only 2.4 Kbps per call data rate. For commercial enterprise solutions we offer end to end VoIP telephony solutions from the office desktop SIP phones, to a VoIP PBX to SIP trunks. Alico also offers hosted VoIP PBX services for small businesses who want feature rich PBX telephone services without the need for inhouse IT staff.
